Calls to expand program that connects primary school students with aged care residents during the pandemic


A program in Western Sydney connecting Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary school students with aged care residents is showing incredible promise, with calls to expand it beyond the coronavirus pandemic.

And after a very long year, today a very special reunion could finally take place.

Since the start of the year year 6 students from Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary in Greystanes have been video calling residents from the Southern Cross Care Home up the road. After twelve long months of COVID isolation and lockdowns, finally a face to face meeting was able to take places.
