World Teachers' Day celebrations today at Our Lady Queen of Peace! π«ππβοΈβοΈππ A busy and fulfilling day for all as we enjoyed: - a morning gathering for staff - small gifts for each staff member - morning tea organised by the P&F - afternoon assembly and prayer led by Kindy. Perhaps the most surprising and entertaining part of the day though, included staff participation in the 'Have you got an apple?' game. We are sure the children can update you on the game rules as they watched their teachers play. Some tactical, creative and fierce competition was on show to secure the winning prizes! Congratulations to the following staff members who won the game (with or without bribery!) π Miss Stevens π Miss Cleur π Miss Raffoul π Mr Aboufarah π Mrs Elias π Mrs Buhagiar π Miss Chahin π Mr McElhone (unable to claim his prize so this was handed over to the most enthusiastic participant of the day, Mr Vicic). Thank you again to our P&F for generously organising the morning tea for staff and acknowledging the great work our staff do each day. What a fun way to start the day! π²β¨ Our Year 1 students had an absolute blast working alongside their Year 5 buddies today! Together, they tackled a special LEGO buildβfollowing step-by-step instructions and practicing great teamwork and communication to build an awesome LEGO Mountain Bike Adventure Van. π οΈπ We love seeing our older and younger students collaborate, solve problems, and have fun together. Great job, builders!

Yesterday, our students had the wonderful opportunity to experience the Musica Viva Concert, El Camino. The performance introduced students to the vibrant sounds, rhythms and traditions of South American music. They thoroughly enjoyed listening, participating and sharing in this engaging musical experience. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore music from another part of the world, broaden their cultural understanding and celebrate the joy of music together.

Science Comes Alive for Year 1! On Tuesday, our Year 1 students enjoyed an exciting science incursion with Kaleidoscope Science! The children had a blast participating in hands-on experiments and watching fun demonstrations that brought their classroom learning to life.

Celebrating 40 years of Voice of Youth and the power of student voice
Six Year 6 students from 58 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Primary schools came together at St John XXIII Catholic College Stanhope Gardens on 22 September for the Voice of Youth Grand Final, showcasing their public speaking skills through a series of thoughtful and engaging speeches.
