The Under 10As team, who are one of the top sixteen teams in the state for their age group, played three round robin matches of 10 min halves against teams from Manly, Cronulla and Gerringong. Our OLQP Bulldog team won one of the three games and unfortunately missed out on going through to the quarter finals.
Our team followed the Code of Conduct on the day, showing positive acts of sportsmanship and demonstrating the greatest level of respect to all those involved on the day.
A big thank you to Mr Hopley for giving these students the opportunity to take part in this event. A big thank you to Michael Barden for organising the day. Finally to all the parents and families and Miss Westbrook for their ongoing support throughout this year’s carnivals.

We all can have God in our lives if we open our hearts to the possibility, and families are an especially potent way to bring, keep, and reinforce God in our hearts. God may not be as literally present as the visitation between Mary and Elizabeth, but the essence of that reunion can still spark within us a joy and inspiration from our own families that matches Mary’s and Elizabeth’s Godly proclamations.

Little Inventors School Holiday Program “Invisible Forces” is on these July school holidays at OLQP Primary School on 16 and 17 July. This fun and engaging hands-on, activity-based STEM workshop will give children the chance to explore the invisible forces around us through exciting experiments and engineering challenges, including electromagnetism, gravity, static electricity, aerodynamics and structural forces. Children will build, test, experiment and discover like real scientists and engineers while learning through play, curiosity and creativity. Last Friday, our Year 1 students set off on an exciting adventure to Sydney Zoo! It was a day filled with wonder as the children explored various animal exhibits and participated in hands-on, zookeeper-led workshops. From learning about wildlife habitats to seeing their favorite animals up close, our young explorers had a fantastic time bringing their classroom learning to life.

Pentecost Sunday will be celebrated this Sunday (May 24, 2026). This major Catholic holiday is celebrated exactly 50 days after Easter Sunday. It is the day the Church celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the first disciples gathered in Jerusalem. It is the moment when the fearful followers of Jesus were strengthened to proclaim the gospel boldly to the world.

Our Years 3 and 4 students have been loving our new Chess and Puzzle Lunchtime Club! The club was created to foster a love of fun, thinking, problem-solving and challenge during lunchtime. The response has been so positive that every student who expressed interest will be invited to attend over the course of the term — no one will be left in check, and everyone will get their turn to make a move! After-School Code Camp allows kids to hone their coding skills and keep practicing through weekly sessions over the term. Each week students will choose the features they want to build, and advance their problem-solving skills to build these features using code. They will take ownership over their projects and collaborate with their peers to make awesome apps!
