SPINAL MUSCULAR ATROPHY
Maddison Brown from 6AL organised a fundraiser for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is a genetic disorder limiting mobility, amongst many other complications. Maddison organised a guessing competition, for parents, teachers and students. Maddison managed to raise $1060.00
On Monday 15th October, Helena Young (OT for Shannon and Kaitlyn Anlezark) accepted the cheque on behalf of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
A special thank you to the outstanding job Madisson Brown did organising and running this competition. We would like to express our appreciation for a job well done.

🎨👩🎨 Clay Creations, Round 2! 👨🎨🧱 Our second group of little artists has officially finished their clay pinch pots, and we couldn’t be more proud! 🌟 With tiny hands and big imaginations, our kindergarteners shaped, smoothed, and sculpted their very own masterpieces. 👐💫 Every pot is a reflection of creativity, patience, and joy — and we’re so excited to share them with you soon! 👏 Great job, young potters! OLQP Band Brings Home The Gold! Congratulations to the OLQP Senior Band who received a gold trophy for their performance at the Hills Band Festival on the 13th of June! The students were in a tough competition against six other schools performing at a sold out event held at the St John XXIII Catholic College Performance Hub. Their conductor Mr Slater said “the students gave their strongest performance of the year and deserve full credit after all the hard work they’ve put in!” If you’d like to see the OLQP Senior Band perform their next big public performance will be at the OLQP Festa on the 28th of September which you won’t want to miss. Look forward to seeing you there!

Our Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with energy, sportsmanship, and fun. Students gave their best effort in every event and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to participate, cheer each other on, and spend the day outdoors. A heartfelt thank you to the parents who generously gave their time to assist throughout the day. Your support with running events and helping behind the scenes contributed enormously to the smooth running of the carnival. It truly wouldn’t have been possible without you.
