We had a number of students participate in the Diocesan Cross Country, and what an outstanding effort from them all! It was a wonderful achievement and experience, and we are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience, and sportsmanship they showed throughout the day, especially in the rain. Well done to all students who represented our school so proudly!

On Friday, we joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful liturgy, followed by a picnic shared among mothers and their children. It was a special time of prayer, fellowship, and gratitude for the gift of motherhood. As mothers, we are inspired by the example of The Virgin Mary — a model of faith, love, humility, and unwavering devotion. Through her gentle strength and trust in God, Mary reminds us of the sacred vocation of motherhood and the powerful role mothers play in nurturing their families with compassion and grace. We hope all mothers had a wonderful and blessed Mother’s Day yesterday, surrounded by love, joy, and appreciation for all that they do each day.

What a fantastic night at the school disco! 🕺✨ The students had an amazing time dancing the night away with friends, enjoying great music, lots of laughter, and unforgettable memories. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such positive energy throughout the evening. Thank you to everyone who helped make the night so special! 💃🎶

Today in our Little Disciples lunchtime group, we spoke about how God is always with us and takes away our worries when we place our trust in Him. Students made paper boats, wrote their worries on them, and placed them into the water to sail away as a reminder that we can give all our fears and worries to God. ⛵ “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

We are proud to share that one of our students has been named a finalist in a recent art competition. This is a wonderful achievement and a testament to his creativity, dedication, and hard work. Congratulations to Christian from year 1. Christian has entered a portrait of his dad in the 5-8 year old age group and has been chosen as finalist! We extend our heartfelt thanks to our school leaders and their families for attending the Dawn Service at Merrylands RSL this morning on behalf of the OLQP community. It was incredibly moving to see so many of our students and families there as well, united in honouring the spirit of ANZAC Day. Lest we forget.

🐣✨ What a sweet success! ✨🐣 Our OLQP Easter Showbag Fundraiser was an egg-stra special hit! 💛 With so many smiling faces and excited little hands, it was wonderful to see our students enjoying their colourful showbags filled with treats. Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, we raised an amazing $1,873! 🙌🎉 Every dollar goes back into supporting our students and creating more opportunities for them. A big thank you to all the families who ordered, and our volunteers who helped organise everything🐰💐

Yesterday, Taleishah from CSPD Jarara Cultural Centre visited OLQP to yarn with some of our students. The students explored the origins of their indigenous ancestral country and family. We look forward to learning more about the Aboriginal Australian perspective alongside our Indigenous families, who are eager to share their culture with our school community.

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.
