Our Lady Queen of Peace, Greystanes were presented with a cheque for $40,000 from Tony Issa MP Member for Granville, recently to fund a multi-purpose sports court area for students.
The grant was awarded through the Community Building Partnership Program funded by the NSW Government after a successful application submitted by the Parents and Friends Committee last year.
Principal Michael Hopley said the funding will go a long way in improving the school environment and providing a much-needed play area. ‘The courts will not only benefit our students – they’ll also be available to students of St Pauls College, local sport teams and fitness company RAW 24 which caters for children and adults,’ said Michael. ‘Our heartfelt thanks to Mr Tony Issa MP and the Parents and Friends Committee for their generous support.’
‘We are now looking to re-surface other play areas to increase safety for students and offer lots of options for learning and play at Our Lady Queen of Peace,’ said Michael.
Work will begin on the new courts during the Easter break.

🎨 Our talented Year One students have been busy exploring the interesting world of Van Gogh! They've sketched, outlined with permanent markers, layered and blended oil pastels, and added rich paint to bring Sunflowers to life. 🌻 Here’s a sneak peek at one stunning piece by one of our young artists—ready to be backed and proudly displayed! 🖼️✨
