- Educate 33 children from disadvantaged communities in Cambodia for one school year. This would not be possible without funding from Catholic Mission.
- Feed over 100 children for an entire school year so they can grow up healthy and strong and be able to focus and learn more effectively.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary Greystanes, recently welcomed a visit from Dr Hugh McDermott, State Member for Prospect. The school was awarded a $60,000 Community Building Partnerships grant, and Dr McDermott presented the school with a ceremonial cheque. During his visit, Dr McDermott spent time with some of our students and, alongside Fr. Paul Roberts, OLQP Parish Priest, delivered an engaging talk about the three levels of government and his own personal connection to the Greystanes community. The grant will make a significant contribution toward the construction of a large shade structure over the school playground. The school looks forward to seeing the new shade structure fully installed upon returning from the October school holidays.

Yesterday Year 2 students visited the church to see the statue of Our Lady Queen of Peace, which is a replica of the original statue in Gozo, Malta. This special visit was part of the parish Festa celebrations. The children learned about the significance of Mary as the Queen of Peace and reflected on how she guides us to live with love, faith, and kindness. It was a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with the traditions of our parish community and deepen their understanding of Maryβs role in our Catholic faith.

Last week, nine of our Year 6 students proudly represented OLQP at the Amity College Maths Cup. Congratulations to Ardhen, Ari, George, Isaiah, Katherine, Om, Pia, Sachi and Shrineel who displayed outstanding teamwork, determination and perseverance while tackling challenging mathematical problems, puzzles and riddles. Students described the day as intense, exciting and fun! A special thank you to Miss Lumagbas for accompanying our students, and to our wonderful parents for their support with transport. We are so proud of our teams!
