On Tuesday 5th May, 44 students got up bright and early to attend the Diocesan Cross Country carnival at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek. It was a long day, but thanks to the beautiful weather and excellent behaviour by all students it was also a lovely day.
All students performed to the best of their ability and did themselves and their parents very proud. 3 students ran so well that they placed in the top 8 in their age group and now get to run all over again on 12th June at the Inter-Diocesan carnival.
Kiara De Angelis placed 6th in the 10 yr girls Isaac Elias also placed 6th in the 11 yr boys and Trisha Castelino placed 2nd in the 11 yr girls. A huge congratulations to those fantastic long distance runners! We wish you all the very best for this next level of competition.
Thank you to Mrs Galea and Mrs Maunder for coming to help out on the day and congratulations once again to all our competitors for the sportsmanship you displayed both on and off the track.

This was a reflective and meaningful experience where the year 3 students walked through the story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Garden of Gethsemane was a place of great importance to Jesus, referred to in all four Gospels as a place where Christ retreated into deep prayer and a time of agony before His arrest and crucifixion.
