Cheers and tears for inspiring Voice of Youth finalists

Incredible speeches on diversity, loneliness, teachers, success from failure, electricity and the importance of living in the moment have moved students, staff and families to cheers, and some tears, at the 2023 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Voice of Youth public speaking finals.

Six Year 6 students selected from across 59 primary schools in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains recently competed in the Diocesan Voice of Youth Public Speaking Competition Grand Final on the 20th of September.

National Oztag tournament

Amelia Cassar 5B competed in the National oztag tournament in Coffs Harbour over 3 days. Amelia’s team won the Grand Final undefeated for the second year in a row bringing home the gold again. Amelia has also just been selected to play up in age for Marconi Stallions being selected for Under 12’s girls. A huge achievement and also has just been selected to play for The Hills Bulls State Oztag team again for the third year.
