This year, OLQP participated in an extra Maths Program called Maths Olympiad. 30 000 students throughout Australia were participating in the challenge.
We really enjoyed the challenging maths questions we were given. All the children chosen were from Years 3 - 6. We trained for several weeks to prepare for the challenges ahead.
There were 5 different tests which included 5 challenging questions in each test. Our two highest scorers achieved 16 out of 25. A big accomplishment!

As part of our Winter Embrace initiative in support of the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal 2026, OLQP hosted a Vinnies School Sleepout. The Winter Sleepout gave the students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of homelessness and disadvantage by taking part in an overnight experience that raises awareness, empathy and solidarity with those doing it tough during the cold winter months. This was an overnight event which was held last Friday 19th June on OLQP school premises. During the evening, the students participated in a liturgy and a variety of meaningful activities that allowed them to deepen their understanding of the hardships faced by people experiencing homelessness in Australia during winter. Students also had the opportunity to work alongside students from St Paul's Catholic High School.19 Jun 2026
